Puneet Kumar

Puneet Kumar, CEng, FIE, is a seasoned professional specializing in rolling stock with extensive experience in various engineering roles within the rail sector. Currently, Puneet serves as a Senior Rolling Stock Expert at DB Engineering & Consulting for the Gurugram Metro Rail Limited since December 2025. Previously, Puneet held the position of Rolling Stock Expert for the Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited and served as General Manager - Rolling Stock for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project from May 2017 to June 2025. Additional experience includes roles as Assistant Executive Engineer - Rolling Stock at BMRCL and Project Engineer at Bombardier Transportation and Abacus Softech Ltd. Puneet earned a B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University between 2002 and 2006.
