Laura O'Connell

Laura Ma O'Connell is an experienced project executive currently working at DBI Projects since June 2023, specializing in project management and real estate advisory. With a significant background in capital projects, Laura served as the Director of Capital Projects and Construction at The Public Theater since July 2017 and held the position of AVP for Facilities and Capital Projects at Barnard College from November 2020 to June 2023. Previous roles include Senior Project Manager at NYU Langone Medical Center, where Laura oversaw the design and construction of a new ambulatory space, and Director of Capital Projects at Teachers College, Columbia University, managing long-term capital plans and budgets. Laura's earlier experience includes positions at Vassar College and Columbia University, where Laura was involved in various renovation projects and capital planning initiatives. Laura holds a BS in Anthropology from New York University and studied at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
