Andrew Flagel

Andrew Flagel serves as the President and CEO of the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area since July 2020, while also holding the position of Visiting Senior Scholar at The George Washington University, focusing on equity, inclusion, and innovation. Flagel is actively involved as the Board Member and Secretary of the Board for the DC College Access Program, which aims to support low-income students in achieving higher education. Additionally, Flagel contributes to the Board of Directors for Connected DMV and has held various roles in higher education and organizational leadership, including Vice President for Advancement and Member Engagement at the Association of American Colleges and Universities and Senior Vice President for Students and Enrollment at Brandeis University. Flagel possesses a PhD in Education from Michigan State University and an academic background in Psychology and Philosophy from The George Washington University.
