Michael Thomson

Michael Thomson has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Michael started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Associate from 2004 to 2009. Michael then joined DC Thomson as a Finance Project Manager from 2009 to 2011. Michael later moved to Brightsolid, where they served as the Finance Director from 2013 to 2018 and also held a Non-Executive Director role. In 2018, they took up positions at DC Thomson as the Chief Financial Analyst and Planner, as well as at Findmypast and Dundee and Angus College as a Non-Executive Director and Co-opted Board of Management Member respectively.

Michael Thomson has a diverse education history. In 1994, they began their schooling at Glenalmond College and completed their studies in 1999. Following that, from 2000 to 2003, they attended Durham University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in Politics, History, and Economics. In 2004, Michael pursued further education at ICAS, earning a CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification between 2004 and 2007. Later, in 2011, they attended Georgetown University McDonough School of Business for two years, completing a Global MBA program. Additionally, in May 2020, Michael obtained a Certificate in International Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
