DC704 is Charlotte’s official DEF CON Group—part of the world’s largest and most respected hacker collective.

Our mission is to foster an open, hands-on community where cybersecurity professionals, hackers, builders, and technologists connect, collaborate, and level up their skills.

We host monthly meetups, technical talks, capture-the-flag events, red team/blue team workshops, and social gatherings for anyone interested in information security, ethical hacking, privacy, and emerging technology.

Whether you’re a seasoned security pro, student, or simply curious, you’ll find a welcoming, inclusive space at DC704.

As part of the global DEF CON network, we share best practices, cultivate talent, and help secure Charlotte’s digital future. Come to learn, teach, present, or network—everyone of all skill levels and backgrounds, and passionate about cybersecurity is welcome.
