Structural Project Engineer at DCI Engineers

Thomas Walters has a strong background in engineering, with experience in both structural design and construction coordination. Thomas currently works as a Structural Project Engineer at DCI Engineers since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Structural Design Engineer at Magnusson Klemencic Associates from August 2021 to May 2022. Thomas also gained valuable experience as an Engineering Intern at Manson Construction Co., where they worked on a multimillion-dollar pier construction project and provided support to surveyors using AutoCAD Civil 3D files. Thomas also served as an Engineering Intern for the City of Williston, North Dakota in 2018, and had Summer Employment with Kitsap County from 2016 to 2017.

Thomas Walters has a solid educational background in engineering. Thomas obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University, where they attended from 2016 to 2020. Following their undergraduate studies, Thomas pursued further education by enrolling at the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2020 to 2021, they worked towards earning a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering.

In addition to their academic achievements, Thomas has also obtained two certifications. In April 2020, they earned the "Engineer In Training" certification from the Washington State Department of Licensing. Thomas also achieved certification in "SOLIDWORKS: Mechanical Design at the level of Associate" from Dassault Systèmes in December 2017. These certifications demonstrate Thomas's commitment to professional development and their expertise in the field of engineering.
