Robert Scher

Robert "Bob" Scher is a seasoned executive specializing in geopolitical risk, national security, and government relations. Currently serving as an Advisory Board Member at Dcode and a Distinguished Visitor at the Perry World House at the University of Pennsylvania, Bob has a robust background in defense strategy from roles including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Plans and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy, Plans, and Capabilities. Previously, Bob held the position of VP & Head of International Affairs at BP America, where they focused on balancing urgent and important strategic decisions. Bob is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History from Swarthmore College and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University.
