Michael Kringer is a space engineer and scientist with a strong foundation in electronics, backed by a five-year apprenticeship and further training as a state-certified electrical engineering technician. They formed a student team to explore additive manufacturing in space during their master's studies, culminating in participation in the FlyYourThesis!2020 Programme of the European Space Agency and the publication of their findings. Currently, Michael works as a scientist at Hochschule München and is conducting co-funded research in in-space manufacturing of external satellite structures alongside DcubeD, which will result in a PhD thesis. Their previous roles include leading projects in in-space manufacturing and contributing to mechanical research at various aerospace institutions.
