Thomas Sinn has a diverse and extensive work experience. Thomas is currently the CEO/Founder of DCUBED since February 2019. Prior to that, they worked at HPS High Performance Space Structure Systems GmbH from December 2014 until September 2019, holding various roles such as Section Head Deployable Sails and Nanosatellites, Deployable Sail Subsystems Program Manager, and Project Manager and System Engineer.
From October 2010 to August 2016, Thomas worked as a PhD researcher at the University of Strathclyde, specializing in Smart Deployable Space Structures. During this time, they also supervised 13 students in their projects and internships.
In 2014, Thomas briefly worked at ESA/ESTEC as a Mechanical (Structures) Engineer. Thomas was responsible for various aspects related to spacecraft and launcher structures and mechanisms.
