Our firm, which started in 2002, has come a long way today, in a journey that was fortunate to be supported by many.
Right from day one, specific principles and values which we diligently try to adhere to in our works, have guided us in this endeavor.

They include:
Encouraging local art and craft forms which in ways support local small enterprises. This also helps in reviving these art and craft traditions, as well as promote local materials. We believe the root of being sustainable lies in the usage of local materials and thereby reducing the carbon footprint. We try to do more of local projects, preferably within our district or in the ones nearby because we recognize and understand our locality in a better manner as compared to the places further away. Also, it makes it easier to make regular site visits as life to a project comes through these routine site interventions that we can do from our end. The designs done at dd Architects and the aesthetics followed are born from 20 years of our research into local traditions and from design developments across the globe that have inspired us.
