Suman Das

Founder, President and CEO at DDM

Suman Das has a long and varied work experience. From 2012 to present, they have been the Founder, President and CEO of DDM Systems, Inc. From 2007 to 2012, they held the Morris M. Bryan, Jr. Chair in Mechanical Engineering for Advanced Manufacturing Systems, as well as the roles of Professor and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2000 to 2007, they were an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. Finally, from 1998 to 2000, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin.

Suman Das received their Indian Schools Certificate from Bishop Cotton Boys' School - Bangalore between 1979 and 1986. Suman then attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1998.
