Rob Wijnberg

Rob Wijnberg is an accomplished journalist and editor, serving as the editor-in-chief and co-founder of De Correspondent since March 2013, an innovative online journalism platform focused on in-depth analysis and investigative reporting. Wijnberg co-founded The Correspondent, which operated from September 2017 to January 2021. Previous roles include serving as an essayist and columnist for De Groene Amsterdammer, editor-in-chief of nrc.next at NRC Media, and various editorial and journalistic positions at NRC Media and De Telegraaf. Wijnberg began their career as a croupier at Holland Casino and performed as a pianist in bars and restaurants. Wijnberg holds a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Amsterdam and completed VWO-Gymnasium at Praedinius Gymnasium.
