Jonas Buyle

Jonas Buyle has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and management consulting. Jonas is currently working as a Cyber Security Consultant at De Cronos Groep and also founded their own independent consultancy, Apollo BV, in 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Fraud and Cyber Security at ING Belgium from 2021 to 2022.

From 2018 to 2021, Buyle worked at ING Belgium - ING The Netherlands as the IT Director Analytics Belgium & The Netherlands. In this role, they were responsible for strategizing, delivering, and managing IT solutions for data wrangling, analytical insights, and personalized customer interactions. Jonas led a large team across two countries, implementing Agile development methods and DevOps teams to enhance data exploration and utilization in real-time. Jonas'sfinal major challenge involved transitioning the data science system to public cloud-driven analytics.

Before joining ING Belgium - ING The Netherlands, Buyle worked at ING Belgium from 2011 to 2017 in various roles. Jonas started as a Team Manager and gradually expanded their team's scope, focusing on offshore application maintenance, development, finances, demand/supply balancing, and service and quality levels management. Later, they took on the role of Project Manager, overseeing projects in Operational Excellence and facilitating cross-departmental improvement platforms.

Prior to their tenure at ING Belgium, Buyle worked as a Management Consultant at MÖBIUS Business Redesign from 2008 to 2011.

Jonas Buyle completed an Executive Masterclass in Big Data and BI at Vlerick Business School from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's degree in Bioengineering at Ghent University from 2003 to 2008. During their time at Ghent University, Jonas also studied at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague (UCT Prague), where they obtained a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering from 2006 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Jonas Buyle has also obtained certifications. In January 2011, they became certified as an Energy Expert Type A from Vlaams Energieagentschap/SYNTRA Vlaanderen. In September 2010, they obtained the PRINCE2 FOUNDATION certification from APMG.
