Bart Dirks

Bart Dirks is the current Chef redactie Binnenland a.i. at de Volkskrant, where they lead a team of sixteen reporters in covering significant domestic news with a focus on the human perspective. Previously, they held various roles at de Volkskrant, including Parlementair verslaggever and Nieuwschef, showcasing expertise in political reporting and cultural journalism. In addition to their extensive experience in journalism, Bart authored the book "België bestaat, cultuurwijzer van een gespleten land," published in 2008. Bart earned a Master of Arts in contemporary history and Latin American studies from Universiteit Utrecht and completed post-doctoral studies in journalism at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam.
