Anna Bitencourt

Anna Bitencourt currently serves as the Chief Litigation Officer at Deaf Equality since October 2024 and is an Adjunct Professor at both the Rochester Institute of Technology and the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, as well as at Gallaudet University, all since January 2024, August 2017, and August 2017, respectively. Previously, Anna held the position of Senior Attorney at the National Association of the Deaf from July 2015 to October 2024 and worked as an Associate Attorney at Dansie & Dansie, LLP from August 2012 to July 2015. Anna Bitencourt obtained a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, between 2009 and 2012, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland from 2004 to 2008. Anna’s educational background also includes attendance at Walter Johnson High School and Colegio Marista de Brasilia.
