Mark Yates currently serves as the Medical Lead for the Dementia Care in Hospitals Program, a role held since 2014, focusing on the implementation and evaluation of this initiative across four hospitals nationally. Concurrently, Mark Yates is a PhD candidate at UNSW Australia and holds a position as Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Studies at Deakin University’s Ballarat Clinical School. Additionally, Mark Yates has been a Physician in Geriatric Medicine at Ballarat Health Services since 1998. Mark Yates has also contributed to the Australian Medical Association (Victoria) as a Board Member from 2014 to August 2016 and served as President from 2005 to 2007. Mark Yates earned a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University, completing the degree in 1986 and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine.
