Director, Damion Drapac Centre For Equity In Health Education at Deakin University

Tim Walker is a highly experienced Gastroenterologist and General Physician currently serving as a Gastroenterologist at Epworth and a VMO Gastroenterologist at both Barwon Health and the Northern Territory Government since September 2023. In addition, Tim Walker is the Director of the Damion Drapac Centre for Equity in Health Education at Deakin University and holds the position of Deputy Chair of the College Education Committee at The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Tim Walker has a strong academic background, functioning as a Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle and serving as Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Rwanda from September 2013 to December 2015. Educational qualifications include an MBBS (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University, and the FRACP in Gastroenterology. Tim Walker's experience also encompasses clinical leadership roles and a dedicated interest in teaching clinical skills and interventional endoscopy.
