Patrick Prendergast

Patrick Prendergast has a diverse work history in the field of engineering. Patrick started their career as an Engineer Intern at Outback Power Systems, where they worked on production line testing, circuit debugging, and rework. Patrick also played a role in installing a 4-panel solar array and repairing a golf cart.

Following this, Patrick joined Maxim Integrated Products as an Applications Engineer for a brief period.

Patrick then moved to Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, where they held several roles over the years. Patrick started as a Microcontroller Applications Engineer, providing customer support and working on strategic projects. Patrick later became an Electrical Engineer, helping to grow revenue for the Touchscreen Applications engineering team and enabling various mobile phone companies to design and manufacture their first capacitive touchscreen phones. Patrick also served as a Product Marketing Engineer and Product Marketing Manager, where they managed teams and launched new ICs and customer programs.

Since 2015, Patrick has been working at Deako Smart Lighting. Patrick is a founding member and electrical engineer at the company. In this role, they have taken on multiple responsibilities, including electrical engineering, firmware development, test development, PCB layout, manufacturing engineering, and project management. Patrick has also been involved in areas such as factory selection, IP/patent strategy, and compliance.
