Henning Jakob has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2023, they worked as a Consultant specializing in strategy, sustainability, digital transformation, HR, and change management. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, they co-founded and served as the CEO of a venture capital-backed B2B SaaS HR startup called DearEmployee GmbH. During their time at DearEmployee, they were responsible for strategy, business development, and partnerships, and successfully engaged over 300 customers, including notable companies such as Amazon, Zalando, AXA, and DEKRA.

Before DearEmployee, from 2015 to 2017, Henning was a Manager Product & Technology at XU Group, a consulting firm focused on digital transformation, change management, and corporate learning. Henning played a crucial role in building the company and led three large business transformation projects in logistics, e-commerce, and manufacturing. Additionally, they designed and implemented strategy initiatives and executive training programs to enhance digital competencies.

In 2014 and 2015, Henning worked as a Quality & Release Manager at Trust2Core GmbH, a technology spin-off of Deutsche Telekom. Henning was responsible for conducting tests, evaluating product enhancements, and coordinating the release strategy for secure software systems implemented on standard mobile hardware. Their clients included the German government and Chancellor Angela Merkel.

From 2012 to 2013, Henning served as a Visiting Associate at Becker Büttner Held Consulting AG, contributing to projects related to inter-municipal cooperation of distribution network operators, sustainability, and regulatory issues in the German electricity and gas market. Henning'srole involved preparing network evaluations, expert opinions, and market analyses.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, Henning worked as a Junior PR Consultant at Leipziger & Partner GmbH, where they developed CSR and go-to-market strategies, conducted lobby activities, and supported the team responsible for the Green Tech Media Award.

In 2008, Henning interned at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, where they wrote reports on healthcare and sustainability topics. Henning also had the opportunity to participate in a background discussion with Barack Obama's health advisor and accompany a delegation of German Bundestag members.

Henning Jakob has a background in economics, having studied at both The Johns Hopkins University and Goucher College. Henning obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Goucher College. Henning further pursued their interest in economics by enrolling at Technische Universität Berlin, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Industrial and Network Economics. Currently, they are planning to attend Institut für Zukunftskultur in 2023 to pursue a degree in Strategic Sustainability Management.
