Barry Defreese

Barry deFreese is an experienced IT professional with a diverse background spanning over three decades in technology and information systems. Currently a Debian Developer with the Debian Project since 2008, Barry's previous roles include Information Systems Manager at Tastepoint by IFF, where responsibilities included leading the implementation of creative systems, and Technology Services Manager at Nike, overseeing strategic planning and technology deployment. Past positions also feature Director of Information Technology at Nike Team Sports, as well as senior network engineering and administration roles across various companies, starting as a Systems Consultant at Century Micro Products. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Commerce from the University of Phoenix and has pursued studies in General Studies and Computer Technology at Saddleback College and Purdue University, respectively.
