Hubert Chathi (Chan) is an accomplished software developer with extensive experience in software development, package maintenance, and teaching. Currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at Element and a Spec Core Team member at Matrix.org since 2018, Hubert has contributed significantly to the Matrix specification. Hubert has maintained software packages for the Debian GNU/Linux distribution since 2003 and previously worked as a Programmer/Analyst/Scientist at Much Learning and a Software Developer at Remote Learner Canada, where leadership in product development was demonstrated. Additionally, Hubert has rich academic experience as a sessional instructor, teaching various computer science courses at the University of Waterloo.
