Lior Kaplan

Lior Kaplan is a seasoned professional in the open-source community, with extensive experience spanning over two decades. As the founder of Kaplan Open Source since June 2017, Lior focuses on consulting for businesses in adopting effective open-source business models and licenses. Contributions to The PHP Project began in June 2013, addressing build issues and coordinating security efforts. Lior has led Hebrew localization and Right to Left (RTL) support for The Document Foundation starting in April 2008 and has been a Debian Developer since March 2006. In previous roles, Lior served as the Open Source Officer at Checkmarx, where a comprehensive open-source strategy was developed, and as a board advisor at xs:code, aiding in the sustainability of open-source projects. Education includes a BA in Computer Science and Information Science from Bar-Ilan University, completed in 2010.
