Luca Boccassi

Luca Boccassi is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in system development and maintenance. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer in the Linux Systems Group at Microsoft since February 2019, Luca is also an active member of the upstream systemd project maintainers team. As a Debian Developer since August 2017, responsibilities include maintaining multiple packages and contributing to Debian's development. Additionally, Luca has been a DPDK Long Term Support Maintainer since November 2017, overseeing stable releases and engaging with both upstream and downstream communities. Previous roles include software engineering at Vyatta (Brocade/AT&T) and Cisco Systems, where contributions spanned platform-independent components and test automation. Luca holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree from Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale.
