Mark Wall

Mark Wall serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Debut since April 2024, bringing extensive experience in research and development leadership. Previously, Mark held multiple roles at BASF, including Director of R&D Operations & Site Management and Director of Platform Technologies from October 2014 to January 2023. Mark was Vice President at Verenium from September 2007 to October 2014, overseeing scientific development, project execution, and R&D management. Earlier experiences include positions as Senior Director and Associate Director at Verenium and Senior Staff Scientist at Diversa Corporation, where Mark led bioinformatics initiatives and project leadership efforts. Educationally, Mark earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biophysics from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a BS with honors in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
