Charles Taylor

CEO & Founder at Debut

Charles Taylor is the CEO and founder of Debut, a student careers app that has been downloaded more than 250,000 times. Charles is a Forbes (30 under 30) award-winning technology entrepreneur who has raised £7.3 million in Angel and Venture Capitalist funding over 3 years.

Charles created Debut because they wished they had it when they graduated 4 years ago. Charles was during their time at University that they questioned why all other brands and services targeting students were heavily using mobile, but not employers in student recruitment.

Applying to 40 different graduate programmes and attending over 10 assessment centre days – an arduous and painful process, Charles created a solution to replace tedious applications forms and solve the disconnect between the out-dated entry level recruitment industry and the digital savvy millennial audience.

Charles Taylor attended the University of York, where they studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE). Charles then went on to study taxation, law, and ethics at CIOT / ATT. Before that, they completed their A-Levels at Prestatyn High School, and their GCSE's at Rydal Penrhos.

Some direct reports include William Franklin - Head of Partnerships, Tomás Rodríguez Ceretti - Head of Tech & Product, and Michele Trusolino - COO & Co-founder.
