Beatriz Machado

Beatriz Machado is the Marketing & Tourism Director at Niepoort in Portugal, where they have been recognized as The Best Wine Tourism Specialist in Portugal in 2021 and as Curator of The Best Wine Tasting Room in 2022. Beatriz coordinated a two-year Certificate Course on Wine Production at Universidade Católica Portuguesa from 2004 to 2007 and served as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis from 2007 to 2009. They have held various influential positions in the wine industry, including Wine Director at The Yeatman and at WOW Porto, and have worked as an international wine judge for several prestigious organizations. Beatriz continues to contribute to the field through their role as Portugal Regional Chair for the Decanter World Wine Awards starting in 2025.
