Principal Software Engineer at Decide Technologies

Chip Belpedio has a long and varied work experience. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as a Soloist and Section Leader for Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church, and as a Chorus Section Leader for the St. Louis Symphony from 2007 to 2008. During this time, they also co-founded and acted as an arranger for Broze Brothers Music from 2008 to 2009, and was the Director of The Renaissance Project from 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they were the Assistant Director of The Boulder Chorale, instructing 200 adult singers in targeted voice building exercises and directing select Chamber Singers in more challenging repertoire. During this time, they also worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Parkway School District from 2013 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they were an Instructor at Parkway North High School, teaching 165 students daily, developing curriculum based on student interests, experiences, and assessment data, and instructing students in fundamental vocal and musicianship skills. Finally, from 2015 to 2016, they were a Software Engineering Fellow at Recurse Center, self-directing a three-month programming initiative in CS and web tech, engineering and launching a web application VoiceLeader using Ruby/Sinatra, and exploring early Github commits of Sinatra to learn web-framework design. Since 2016, they have been a Principal Software Engineer at Decide.

Chip Belpedio attended Washington University in St. Louis from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Political Science. Chip then went on to the University of Colorado Boulder from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Master of Music in Choral Conducting and Music Education Licensure.
