John Hebert has extensive experience in corporate development and business development. John started their career as a Technology Manager at Accenture/Andersen Consulting in 1995 and worked there until 2001. John then joined SmartCells as a Student Co-Founder, winning the MIT $50K Business Plan Competition. The company was later sold to Merck. John later worked at various companies including Hydra Biosciences as a Business Development Associate, Genzyme Corporation as an Associate Director of Corporate Development, and Woomera Therapeutics as the Chief Executive Officer. John joined EMD Serono, Inc. in 2013 as the Director of Global Licensing and Business Development. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as the Senior Director of Business Development. Currently, they are working at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Alliance Management.
John Hebert attended MIT Sloan School of Management from 2001 to 2003, where they obtained their MBA degree. Prior to that, they studied at Boston College from 1992 to 1995, earning a BA in History.
