Michael Kennedy

Michael Kennedy, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Michael is currently the Director of Drug Product at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Amgen, Inc. for nearly a decade, starting in 2010 as a Principal Scientist. In this role, they were responsible for guiding all aspects of formulation and process development, tech transfer, and clinical manufacturing. Before that, they held various roles at Amgen, starting in 1998 as a Visiting Research Scientist and progressing to Senior Scientist positions. Michael led several cross-functional collaborations, developed new process equipment and technologies, and contributed to the development and manufacturing of various pharmaceutical products. Michael Kennedy, Ph.D. earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University in 1993. Michael then went on to pursue their graduate studies at UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Business Economics in 1998. During their time at UC Santa Barbara, they also completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering, which they earned in 1998 as well.
