Simona Greco has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Starting in 1999, they worked as a Regional Medical Liaison at Pfizer, providing medical support and conducting studies in Northern Italy. Simona then joined Schering Plough as a Medical Advisor, where they coordinated launch activities and managed clinical trials for autoimmune diseases. At Novartis, they served as a Brand Manager for Xolair and later became a Medical Adviser for transplantation and immunology. Simona joined Dompè Biotec as a Medical Manager in Nephrology, overseeing scientific activities and communication for various drugs. At Amgen, Simona held the position of Therapeutic Area Leader for Oncology-Hematology, leading a team and managing product allocation and vacancies. Simona then worked at UCB Pharma as a Medical CNS Director, reshaping the team and collaborating on the transition of a brand. Simona had several roles at Celgene, including Senior Country Medical Director, Director of Medical Affairs Hematology, and Executive Director of Medical Affairs Haematology/Oncology Worldwide Markets. Finally, they worked at Blueprint Medicines as VP of Medical Affairs International, leading a team and serving as the Country Medical Lead for several countries. Currently, they are the Head of Global Medical Affairs at Deciphera Pharmaceuticals.
Simona Greco obtained a Diploma Liceo Classico from Liceo Classico La Farina, Messina in 1988. Simona then pursued a Degree in Medicine at Università degli Studi di Messina from 1988 to 1994. Simona went on to complete an Internship in Pharmacology at Institute of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Messina from 1991 to 1994. Simona Greco also attained a Post-doctoral degree in Medical Toxicology from the same institution from 1995 to 1999.
