Michael Young

Michael Young is currently serving as an Operations Research Scientist at Decision Spot since August 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Senior Analyst on the Supply Chain Optimization Team at Newell Brands from October 2022 to August 2024. Michael also contributed as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo Engineering and Applied Sciences from December 2020 to October 2022, focusing on optimization projects related to UAV surveillance operations. Additionally, Michael gained experience as a Quality Control Intern at Viant Medical in the summer of 2019, ensuring compliance of components for shoulder and hip replacements. Michael's work history includes roles as a Bartender and Bar Back at Hamburg Brewing Company from May 2015 to October 2022. Academically, Michael earned a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University at Buffalo from August 2021 to May 2022, following a Bachelor's degree in the same field from September 2017 to May 2021.
