Barry McCann

Barry McCann has over 28 years of work experience in the product management and product development fields. Barry began their career in 1993 as a staff writer at First Marketing Company, where they eventually rose to the role of Business Development Director. In 1999, they joined Alamo Rent A Car as a Customer Innovation Manager, where they worked with executives, marketing, product managers and operations teams to research and develop new services and customer experiences. In 2001, they moved to Everglades Direct as an Opportunity Development Director, where they drove internal new business initiatives and led the software development and tech support teams. In 2006, they joined Current USA, Inc. as a New Initiatives Leader and reported directly to the company president. In 2013, they became Product Director at CTI - Chromatic Technologies, Inc., where they were responsible for product management, new markets and category development and marketing. In 2022, they joined Palco, Inc. as a Product Manager, leading strategic development for three self-directed Medicaid core customer- and internal-facing applications. Barry is currently Manager Product Management at Deck Commerce, leading a team of business analysts / product owners and a tech writer to create product value.

Barry McCann attended Lake High School from 1982 to 1986, where they earned a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates. Barry then attended Mercersburg Academy from 1985 to 1986, where they earned a High School degree. Finally, Barry McCann attended Baylor University from 1986 to 1993, where they earned a MA and BA in Psychology and English Literature. In addition to their educational background, they have also obtained two certifications from the Scrum Alliance: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) in February 2022 and Scrum Alliance Certified Agile Product Owner in January 2022.
