Daniel Alves

Daniel Alves has extensive experience in the field of information technology, with a focus on system and network engineering. Daniel started their career as an intern at Kaavay, where they were involved in the planning, design, testing, and deployment of an Employee Engagement and Management System application for Android phones. Daniel utilized back-end technologies such as PHP, Ajax, and MySQL for database management, as well as Android Studio for front-end development.

Following their internship, Daniel joined Carvalho Business Solutions as a System and Network Engineer, where they worked from April 2015 to January 2017. During their time there, they utilized their skills to manage and maintain the company's system and network infrastructure.

In 2017, Daniel moved on to Progressive Systems, where they held the position of Senior System and Network Engineer. Daniel fulfilled their responsibilities in this role until September 2018, gaining valuable experience in system and network administration.

From October 2018 to February 2022, Daniel was employed at Carnival Cruise Line as a Slot Technician. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing preventative maintenance and technical troubleshooting of gaming machines within the casino. Daniel also participated in projects related to machine upgrades and conversions, keeping detailed records of machine inventory and required upgrades.

Daniel Alves has a Master's degree in Information Technology from Parvatibai Chowgule College, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from Goa University from 2010 to 2013. Before pursuing higher education, Daniel completed their secondary education at Fr. Agnel Multipurpose Higher Secondary School from 2008 to 2010. Daniel attended Saviour Of The World High School from 1998 to 2008 for their primary education.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they became certified in MTA: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals from Microsoft. In 2020, they acquired an understanding of Cisco Network Devices through a certification from Cisco. In 2017, they earned the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. Furthermore, Daniel holds various certifications related to maritime safety and security, including Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, Elementary First Aid, Security Training for Seafarers with Designated Security Duties, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, and Personal Survival Techniques. These certifications were obtained from the Directorate General of Shipping between 2018 and 2018.
