William P. King, Ph.D., is a Professor and the Ralph A. Andersen Endowed Chair at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they focus on advanced manufacturing, microsystems and nanotechnology, heat transfer, and advanced materials. King has held senior advisory roles at McKinsey & Company and SyBridge Technologies, and was previously Chief Scientist and Co-Founder at Fast Radius, Inc. They have published 290 journal articles and hold 23 U.S. patents, and have been recognized with numerous awards, including the PECASE award and several ASME honors. Additionally, King is a Fellow of multiple prestigious organizations, including ASME and AAAS, and serves on the Board of Governors for ASME.
