Hani Goodarzi

Hani Goodarzi is a prominent figure in the field of cancer genomics and systems biology, currently serving as a Core Investigator at Arc Institute since January 2024 and as an Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco since May 2016. Goodarzi's expertise encompasses systems cancer biology, translational genomics, and computational biology, complemented by previous roles as an Assistant Professor at UCSF and extensive postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University and Columbia University. In addition to academic positions, Goodarzi is actively involved in the biotech sector as a co-founder and scientific advisor for multiple companies, including Tahoe Therapeutics, Exai Bio, and Verge Genomics. Goodarzi holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Princeton University and a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from the University of Tehran.
