Mary Woollen

Advisor at Deep Isolation

Mary Woollen is currently an advisor at Deep Isolation, a company that works to safely and permanently isolate nuclear waste from the biosphere. Prior to their current position, Woollen held various consultant positions at the U.S. Department of Energy, the Bipartisan Policy Center, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and the Department of Energy's Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future. Woollen has also served as the Executive Director of KYNF, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about nuclear issues.

Mary Woollen has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Anthropology from Denison University. Mary also has a Master's in Social Work from the University of Utah, with a focus on Medical Social Work. Mary is currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Nairobi.
