Bill Smart is a seasoned business development professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving at DeepOcean since November 2021, Bill focuses on expanding markets. Previously, Bill held the position of Global Business Development at Delmar Systems, Inc. from July 2015 to September 2021, where responsibilities included collaborating with various departments to refine bidding strategies and managing contractual agreements to ensure favorable financial outcomes. Prior to that, Bill was the Sales Manager at Fugro, overseeing regional staff and driving sales initiatives. A notable achievement includes increasing regional revenue significantly while serving as Business Development Manager for North America at Aquatic Engineering & Construction Ltd. Bill also held leadership positions at Prime Source Packaging, LTD. and Oceaneering, where project management and compliance were key focus areas. Bill began a career in engineering as a Design Engineer at Oil States, developing a patented design that generated substantial cost savings.
