Rob McCallum is a highly experienced expedition leader and planner with a diverse background in ocean exploration and management. Currently serving as an Ambassador for the New Zealand Nature Fund and an Advisory Board Member for DEEP, McCallum also holds board positions with Ocean Census and the Galileo Project, where responsibilities include leading the Interstellar Expedition, which achieved the retrieval of the first material from outside the solar system. With a foundational role as Founder of EYOS and extensive experience with the Ring of Fire Expedition, McCallum has consistently been involved in significant underwater exploration projects, including the Five Deeps Expedition. McCallum's past roles include being a Partner at Williamson and Associates, with a focus on deep-water engineering, and serving on the Executive Committee of the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators. Academic qualifications include an M.Sc in Management from Aberystwyth University and a Diploma in Parks and Recreation Management from Lincoln University in New Zealand.
