Thomas Potts is a leader in ocean conservation and undersea research, committed to advancing marine science and environmental stewardship for over three decades. As the Associate Director of Research at Aquarius Reef Base from 2013 to 2023, they spearheaded innovative marine ecosystem projects and collaborated with NASA, while also diversifying revenue streams and securing more than $2 million in grants. Previously, they served as Science Director at NOAA's National Undersea Research Center and Program Director, where they significantly expanded research initiatives and secured essential funding. Currently, Potts works as an AI Trainer at Outlier, focusing on biological concepts while continuing to engage in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement as Associate Director of Habitat Operations at DEEP.
