Frederic Messine is a Full Professor at ENSEEIHT since October 2004, where research spans topics such as Topology Optimization, PDE Constraint Optimization, Optimal Control, and Global Optimization, primarily concerning the design of electromechanical actuators. Messine received the Grand Prix Marthe Condat in 2021 for significant contributions to research in Toulouse and has authored 64 papers in international journals and submitted one patent. As a co-founder and Scientific Advisor at Deeper Pulse, a start-up emerging from research on plasma thruster design, Messine continues to develop innovative electrical machinery. Previously, Messine held positions as an Associate Professor and Assistant Associate Professor at the University of Pau and Adour Countries, as well as working in various research capacities at IRIT and LAPLACE-CNRS. Messine holds multiple degrees from Toulouse INP and Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, culminating in a Habilitation to Supervise Researches.
