Iris Verhoeff

Iris Verhoeff is an R&D Engineer currently working at DeepHealth since November 2023, with prior experience in the same role at Quantib from April 2022 to November 2023. Iris also completed a Master Thesis at Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, focusing on the development of a deep learning algorithm for automatic classification of mandibular bone invasion in MRI scans, and conducted a research internship in the Image Guided Surgery Group investigating the identification of liver tumors in 2D ultrasound images using deep learning. Additionally, Iris served as a Webinar Coordinator for Federatie Medisch Specialisten, organizing conferences for large audiences, and coordinated the 'Student for a Day' program at the University of Twente, supporting healthcare study initiatives. Iris holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Twente and has completed master courses in Machine Learning, Neuroimaging, and Neuroengineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, following a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Twente.
