Vasco Lopes has a diverse work experience with various roles in different companies. In 2016, they started as a Microsoft Student Partner, organizing events and conducting presentations on Microsoft technologies. Vasco then worked as a Software Developer at Instituto de Telecomunicações, where they fully developed an Android application and conducted workshops for the uPATO project. In 2017, they joined SOCIA Lab as a Student Researcher and later became a Researcher. In 2018, they became a Microsoft Student Partner again. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Researcher PhD Student at NOVA School of Science and Technology and as an Invited Assistant at Universidade da Beira Interior. In 2021, they worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at Huawei Paris Research Center. In 2022, they joined CRIAM as the Head of Software and Google as a Researcher. Recently, in 2020, they co-founded DeepNeuronic and serves as the CEO.
Vasco Lopes began their education journey in 2014 at Universidade da Beira Interior, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2017. Following that, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the same university. In 2019, Vasco Lopes enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Computer Science at Universidade da Beira Interior. Vasco is expected to complete their PhD in 2023.
In terms of additional certifications, Vasco Lopes obtained a Machine Learning certificate from Coursera Course Certificates in January 2019. Furthermore, they completed the Algorithmic Toolbox course from the same institution in May 2017.
