Michal Baumgartner

Michal Baumgartner is an experienced engineering manager and data scientist with a strong background in platform engineering, particularly in cloud-based solutions. Currently serving as the Platform Engineering Manager at Deepnote since July 2025, Michal previously held the position of Senior Platform Engineer at Ataccama, where contributions involved building the next generation of the Ataccama Cloud platform utilizing technologies such as AWS, Crossplane, Terraform, and ArgoCD. Michal has a rich history in data science and machine learning, with roles at Panoramic, Peergrade, and as a Teaching Assistant at DTU Compute. Past experience also includes full-stack engineering positions at EasyPractice and TechFides, and foundational work in software testing and development early in the career. Michal holds a Master of Science from the Technical University of Denmark and a Bachelor of Science from Masaryk University Brno.
