Tony Chew

Tony Chew has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Deep Safety GmbH since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the same company as a Master Thesis Student from May 2021 to February 2022, where they specialized in Autonomous Driving and developed an Efficient Multi-Head Architecture for Real-Time Simultaneous Edge-Case Detection and Semantic Segmentation. Tony also gained experience as a Student Intern at Deep Safety GmbH from October 2020 to March 2021.

Before joining Deep Safety GmbH, Tony worked as a Student Assistant/Studentische Hilfskraft (HiWi) at the Institute for Combustion Engines and Center for Mobile Propulsion, RWTH Aachen University, from December 2018 to September 2019. Tony also had a role as a Mechanical Engineer at Microelectronic Technologies (MeT) from April 2018 to September 2018.

Tony's earliest work experience was as a Visiting Student at TU Delft from January 2015 to August 2015.

Tony Chew completed their Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering (BE/ME) in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Queensland from 2011 to 2015. Tony then pursued their Automotive Engineering M.Sc degree at RWTH Aachen University from 2018 to 2021.
