Japheth Gado

Japheth Gado, Ph.D., is a seasoned researcher specializing in AI, machine learning, and data science with a strong focus on enzyme design and plastic degradation. Currently serving as a Machine Learning Consultant at Birch Biosciences and a Staff Data Scientist at IMO Health, Japheth has pioneered ML techniques in various projects, including a state-of-the-art language model for protein prediction. Previously, Japheth held positions at Harvard Medical School, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and Solugen, among others, contributing to significant advancements in enzyme research and earning prestigious awards, such as the Director's Award for Exceptional Performance. Holding a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky, Japheth has authored numerous publications in high-impact journals.
