Software Engineer

Vivian Borbash has had a diverse work experience. In 2017, they were an ASPIRE High School Intern at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. In 2018 and 2019, they were a Cyber Intern at Lockheed Martin, where they searched, sorted, and analyzed data with Splunk and Search Processing Language (SPL), and used Java Swing to create GUI prototypes for war-gaming simulation. In 2020, they were an Electrical Engineering Intern at PACKET FORENSICS, LLC, where they tested and documented an Arduino-based embedded system that senses cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth environments. Vivian was also a Teaching Assistant for ENEE244 (Digital Logic Design) at the University of Maryland - A. James Clark School of Engineering. In 2021, they returned to DeepSig Inc. as an Electrical Engineering Intern, where they tested top-1 accuracy and FPGA performance of RF modulation recognition convolutional neural network implemented in TensorFlow and implemented architecture changes to the neural network that produced a 40% increase in inferences per second on FPGA. Vivian is currently working as a Junior Software Engineer at DeepSig Inc. and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at MEMS Sensors and Actuators Laboratory (MSAL).

Vivian Borbash attended the University of Maryland from 2018 to 2022, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
