Costas Simopoulos

Costas Simopoulos has extensive work experience in the field of ultrasound technology and medical imaging. Costas has held various leadership roles in notable companies in the industry.

In 1995, Costas started their career as a Systems Engineer at Acuson, where they worked until 2000. Following this, they worked as a Scientist at Gigabeat from 2000 to 2001 and then as a Systems Engineer at Blueleaf Networks from 2001 to 2002.

In 2002, Costas joined Siemens Medical Solutions as a Staff Scientist, where they were involved in research and development of automatic system optimization algorithms. Costas also managed machine learning-based projects and supported marketing and business development groups. Costas stayed with Siemens until 2007.

From 2008 to 2016, Costas worked at U-Systems, a GE Healthcare Company, initially as a Principal Engineer from 2008 to 2013 and then as the Director of Ultrasound Systems from 2013 to 2016.

In 2016, Costas joined Kolo Medical Inc as a Senior Director and worked there until 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Senior Director at Vave Health. Costas then joined QT Ultrasound LLC in 2019 as a Director, a position they held until 2020.

From 2020 to 2022, Costas served as the Head of Ultrasound at Vave Health. Currently, in 2022, they are working as the Senior Director at DeepSight Technology.

Costas Simopoulos earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon from 1976 to 1980. Costas then went on to complete a PhD in Physics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1982 to 1987.
