William Macpherson is an experienced investment analyst currently working at Deeptech Labs since February 2024. Prior to this role, William conducted research at UCL's Dept of Blockchain Technology from April to December 2023, focusing on the development of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) with the COMET research group following completion of a Master of Science in Financial Technology at UCL. William also contributed as an intern at Deeptech Labs in mid-2022, where core projects included developing a Python program for a community graph in Neo4j and creating a fund valuation framework. Additionally, William gained experience through a summer internship at Octopus Ventures in 2021, cycling through various investment teams. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Newcastle University and foundational education at Marlborough College.
