Gwyn Brooks

Gwyn is a businessman with over 40 years of industrial experience in the manufacture of metal salts and highly alloyed products for many hi-tech applications (e.g. aerospace; electronic packaging; automotive, defence, etc.). Co-founder and M.D. of a start-up company Sandvik/Osprey Ltd from 1974 to 2006. In 1990 Gwyn was awarded an MBE for Services to Industry. He is also a recipient of the Queen's Award for Exports in 1975 and 1989. Gwyn’s previous roles have included M.D. of Mechema Chemicals Ltd and Chairman of Neath Port Talbot Waste Management Company from 1993 to 2005. Gwyn has negotiated approx. 50 technology transfer licenses on a worldwide basis to many major international corporations. He is also an author of more than 20 published technical papers and numerous patents. Gwyn holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Mech. Eng. & Heat Transfer.
