Islam Samir is an experienced sourcing and quality leader with a strong background in the textiles and apparel industry. Currently, they serve as Country Sourcing & Quality Manager at DeFacto, driving strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier development. Previously, Islam held various significant roles, including Senior Quality Assurance Auditor at LF Distribution Holding Inc. and Chief of the Colorfastness Lab at EKOTEKS Textile Laboratory. They graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Textile Sciences and Engineering from Helwan University and hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American University in Cairo. Islam is currently pursuing an MBA at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
